One person's trash is another person's treasure

When my baby was six months old, I came across an old set of drawers which had been left out on the street. They were in fairly good condition but pretty ugly. It seemed a huge waste that they would be thrown away. I needed a set of drawers for Finn's nursery. So I decided to give them some care and attention.  
 
Since then my aim is to turn old, rejected, and sometimes ugly furniture into beautiful and useful objects.
 
Avoiding manufacturing new furniture and recycling existing objects, helps to reduce landfill, protect our natural resources, as well as reduce carbon emissions.
 
My aim is to help protect our beautiful planet, by encouraging sustainability and creating treasured pieces that will last the test of time. 

I use Annie Sloan chalk paint which has virtually no VOC emissions, and aim to use natural glues and varnishes by December 2023. I am always looking for ways of reducing my impact on the environment.
